Diana Dina
Who we are
Diana joined bere:architects in November 2011 after completing a masters in Environmental Design and Engineering at UCL, followed by a short internship writing for the Architects’ Journal sustainability blog.
Originally from Bucharest, Romania, where she qualified as an architect and worked in a number of high profile local practices, Diana increasingly became interested in low energy architecture and exploring traditional building techniques, especially timber frame construction. During her Masters course she became acquainted with Passivhaus and whilst writing her dissertation she researched issues related to humidity movement in breathing walls. This involved investigating monitored data from several UK refurbished houses and performing computer modelling using Energy Plus and 1D WUFI to investigate the risk of interstitial condensation in different types of wall assemblies.
Outside the office she loves mountaineering, photography, and recently took up climbing.
