The UK Passivhaus Conference 2011

The UK Passivhaus Conference 2011 is being organised by the Passivhaus Trust and the BRE, with a steering group that includes architects and academics.

The conference exists to spread learning and academic research between all those who are interested in working in the field of low energy and healthy building design in the UK. It is intended that the conference will:

Help people procure and produce buildings that are at the same time beautiful and rigorously designed; achieving low energy consumption in use, and comfortable and healthy for occupants.

Help stimulate interest in developing high quality, low carbon manufacturing in the UK that will reduce the need for imports, so creating new local, low carbon jobs.

Assist in reducing the UK's demand on scarce resources; thereby contributing to creating a more equitable world.

We would like to extend an invitation to participate in the UK Passivhaus Conference 2011 to all architects, planners, builders, developers, manufacturers,  local authority staff, housing associations, and private individuals, together with national and local politicians interested in practical ideas that can be incorporated into the main stream of UK construction.
