EcoBuild: "Designing your self-build project towards Passivhaus principles"
Justin Bere will be speaking on "How to achieve an assisted-self-build Passivhaus for under £100,000".
Designing for maximum solar gain and optimal thermal efficiency and air tightness will mean that your property requires very little heating and is therefore low-cost and environmentally friendly. This is good design at its best. This session gives examples of how self-builders are designing to Passiv Haus standards and maximising the benefits of careful design, producing low-cost comfortable eco-homes which require minimal space heating.
